Chinese crude steel output to cross 571 million tonnes

According to data published online by the China Iron & Steel Association, China"s crude steel output in November is estimated to have reached 521.84 million tonnes in the January t November 2009 period.

Thus taking preliminary figure for November’s output at 49.37 million, we can see that Chinese crude steel output would be more than 571 million tonnes in 2009.

The National Bureau of Statistics is yet to release the official November figures
